Q-This is my first massage, what can I expect?
A- First, congratulations on scheduling your first massage. I feel very honored to help introduce new people to the joy of massage. On your first appointment there will be a little bit of paperwork to complete that helps me determine any areas of concern you have and what your goals are for massage. After we discuss the plan I will step out of the room. Disrobe to your comfort level (most people leave just their underwear on) and get tucked in underneath the covers on the table. You are covered the whole time, except on areas I am working on. Communication is important, so during the massage if anything is uncomfortable let me know. This time is all about you and giving you the best experience possible.
Q- I have allergies, what lotions/oils do you use?
A-I use a combination of Biotone lotion and gel. I like Biotone products because they have been producing natural skin care products for massage for over 30 years. They also help fund research and support the Massage Therapy Foundation. The products I use have a combination of Coconut Oil, Apricot Oil, Sesame Oil, Vitamin E and Grapeseed Oil. They are Hypoallergenic, Paraben Free, Cruelty Free and Unscented. If you have allergies to any of the ingredients I also have plain grapeseed oil to use. You may also bring your own lotions if you prefer.
Q- What technique do you use?
A- Each massage is customized to your specific needs. I use a combination of Swedish, Neuromuscular and Myofascial Release with Strain-Counterstrain and Positional Release to achieve the best results. I also have additional training in Manual Lymphatic Drainage. And, I taught Cancer Massage and Hydrotherapy at NH Institute for Therapeutic Arts.
Q- Do you have a membership?
A- I do not have a membership. I do offer prepaid packages that provide a savings off the individual massage price. Prepaid massages can be shared with others and never expire. They are a great way to save money on massage, making it easier to incorporate massage into your healthcare routine.
Q- What is ‘Onsite/Event Massage’?
A-Onni To-Go lets you take Onni to work with you! Massage helps reduce stress and alleviate back pain. And, these are two common complaints that impact work productivity and sick time used.
Whether is is a one time event or a regular employee benefit, massage is a great way to show your employees that you appreciate them. All the employer needs to provide is a quiet place for me to set up my chair or table. I will commit to a two to four hour block of time and appointments can be 15 minutes each (chair or table if there is enough space). Each 15 minute appointment is just $15. If you would like to know more about onsite massage call 603-831-3725.
Q- What is the Onni Giving Tree?
A- The Onni Giving Tree helps you Give while you Get a massage. You may make donations of non-perishable food or a small cash donation that goes directly to NH Food Bank. For any donation to Onni Giving Tree the client earns a free enhanced therapy to be used with their massage. Enhanced Therapies include Aromatherapy, Warm Oil Therapy or Sugar Foot Scrub.
